A tale of teamwork and leadership under the stars

Have you ever watched a sky full of falling stars? Bright streaks of light flashing across the night—so fast, so magical. Tonight, the stars would dance over Tiny Tales Land. And Kael?

Kael had a big job.

He had to lead the fireflies through the valley, lighting the festival path. A leader’s job. An important job. And he was going to do it all by himself.

Seren, his Lumivalean friend, flicked her ears. "Are you sure you don’t need help?"

Kael grinned. "Of course! It’s just fireflies. How hard can it be?"

Seren tilted her head but said nothing.

Kael took off, calling out to the tiny glowing creatures. "Follow me, little lights!"

At first, it worked. The fireflies floated behind him, a golden ribbon moving through the night. He soared higher, proud of his leadership.

Then the wind shifted.

A sharp gust swept through the valley, scattering the fireflies in every direction.

Kael dove left, right, back again. "No, no, stay together!"

The tiny lights flickered and vanished into the trees. His chest tightened. He had one job, and now—

Seren stepped beside him. "Looks like they’re not following."

Kael huffed. "I’ll try again. I just have to be faster."

Seren shook her head. "Maybe it’s not about speed."

Kael frowned. "A leader is strong. A leader—"

"—knows when to ask for help," Seren finished gently. "You don’t have to do this alone, Kael."

He hesitated. He wanted to prove he was strong. But was being strong the same as being a leader?

He exhaled. "Alright. What do we do?"

Seren’s antlers shimmered softly. "Call Astra."

Astra, the brightest firefly, hovered nearby. With her leading the way, the others would follow. Kael nodded. Together, they whistled a soft tune. The fireflies blinked in response, one by one returning to the path.

Kael flew slower this time, guiding them, not chasing them. Astra flitted ahead, and the rest followed in a steady, glowing stream.

The festival lights flickered in the distance.

As they reached the clearing, lanterns cast a golden glow across the valley. Laughter and music filled the air.

Seren smiled. "Told you."

Kael chuckled. "A leader doesn’t do everything alone. He helps others shine."

The fireflies twirled above the festival, lighting up the night.

The Festival of Falling Stars had begun.
